I am a Portuguese architect, researcher, and writer - with a career markedly multifaceted and international.

CV

My works and writings have been published and presented in lectures and exhibitions. ​I've been a guest critic, lecturer, invited teacher, and juror at different architecture schools such as Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, University of Kingston, and Shandong Jianzhu University. I am also taking part as a jury member for renowned international Architecture and Design Awards, such as Architizer’s A+Awards, UNI, and A'Design Award and Competition.

Currently, I divide my professional activity between practice in the architecture studio Ressano Garcia Arquitectos in Lisbon and the Ph.D. in the field of Digital Architecture at ISCTE.

At the same time, I’m a curator and research manager for the online platform Non Architecture, a team member of the independent, online platform for architectural education DigitalFUTURES, and a writer for different international architecture and design magazines such as CLOT Magazine, Architecture Hunter and others.

Since 2018 I'm an assistant producer at the Arquiteturas Film Festival.

 

  • I’ve worked in France, Japan, Italy, and China. Since 2011 I have worked at an international office in Portugal (studio Ressano Garcia Architects, in Lisbon), France (WONK architects, in Lille) and Japan (Sou Fujimoto Architects, in Tokyo). After an invitation to teach at the Shandong Jianzhu University, in Jinan – China, and a period working abroad, I’ve returned to Portugal to pursue a career in research.

    I´ve also participated in several international workshops in Portugal, Holland and Italy. Between 2010 and 2012, I was part of the Organizing Committee of the international workshop Intensive Program EWWUD (European Workshop on Waterfront Urban Design) held in Lisbon. Also being responsible for the publications of these events.

  • I often participate in architecture, design and photography competitions. I won my first prize in 2008 and again in 2010 and 2011. In 2013, I won the 2nd prize in the “Desafios Urbanos ’12” ideas contest for the rehabilitation of an industrial building, and in 2014 the 1st prize in the photography contest of Ordem dos Arquitectos, entitled “Tools” for the cover of the magazine “ba – Boletim Arquitectos”.

  • My works and writings have been awarded, published, and presented in lectures and exhibitions.

    I saw my work exhibited for the first time in 2010, at the university with an urban design proposal. In the same year, I participated in the “Universities Competition – Cova da Moura” organized by the Lisbon Architecture Triennale 2010 where my work was one of the 30 selected projects, and later on exhibited in Lisbon.
